Singer-songwriter Raye has been nominated for seven Brit awards, including artist of the year and best album.
She overtook Craig David, Gorillaz and Robbie Williams, who previously held the joint record with six each.
It is in start contrast to last year, when there was an all-male best artist line-up following the merging of the best British male and female categories.
