2GO, one of the country’s largest sea travel transportation solutions providers and a part of SM Investments Corporation, has been accredited by the Department of Tourism as a Tourism Water Transport Operator and Tourism Water Vessel for all its eight passenger cargo ships.
The accreditation is an assurance that 2GO has met industry benchmarks through DOT’s rigorous process to provide travelers with a reliable and convenient sea travel experience.
2GO is the only passenger cargo shipping line operating to and from Manila to Visayas and Mindanao.
According to Apollo Santos, Vice President for 2GO Ship Management & Technical Services, the accreditation further solidifies 2GO’s position as an industry leader and a preferred choice for leisure sea travel.
“We are deeply honored to be recognized and accredited by DOT as we continue to provide the utmost safety, comfort and convenience to our passengers. This accreditation solidifies our commitment to excellence,” Santos said.
2GO’s vessels offer an elevated sea travel experience with hotel-like accommodations, onboard entertainment and amenities. Passengers are provided with fresh meals and retail offerings from SM partner brands such as MINISO, Kultura, Goldilocks, Brownies Unlimited and Watsons.
Meanwhile, 2GO continues to actively promote local tourism through its participation in the VisMin Tourism Congress and Travel Sale organized by HRRACI and the 11th Regional Travel Fair by the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).
Throughout both events, 2GO unveiled its unique travel portfolio to industry peers and travel enthusiasts present.
