Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation (Pilmico) and Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (Aboitiz Foundation) are empowering two Department of Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) in Pangasinan by providing them with bakery livelihood kits.

The recipients, Calapugan Agrarian Reform Cooperative (CARe.Co) and Maresma Multipurpose Cooperative (MMPC), were chosen for their successful track record in the Village Level Farm-focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) project VLFED project, producing cassava chips and squash noodles respectively.

Each cooperative received a complete bakery livelihood kit, including a high-capacity oven, stainless steel table, bread rack, showcase display, proofer, spiral mixer, and cake mixer. The kits will enable them to establish bakeries in their communities and expand their income-generating activities.

In addition to the equipment, cooperative members will undergo bakery training led by Pilmico’s Technical Service Manager for Flour, Chef Carla Valencia. This comprehensive approach ensures the beneficiaries have the necessary skills and resources to succeed in their new venture.

The bakery livelihood project is part of Pilmico’s “Mahalin Pagkaing Atin” program, which aims to provide alternative income sources for beneficiaries through initiatives like bakery starter kits and livestock farming.
