MANILA, Philippines — Actress Angelica Panganiban underwent a successful hip surgery in St. Luke’s Medical Center.

In her family’s YouTube channel, Angelica thanked her husband Gregg Homan for taking care of her.

“Hi guys! It’s been a week since we had our surgery journey! We feel a bit anxious about it, but yeah, through prayers from our families and friends nalagpasan namin!” she said.

“I’d also like to acknowledge my very good husband na grabe ang pag aalaga! Thanks hon, alam mo na ‘yun. First time na pareho kaming wala ni Gregg. We missed our Baby Amila,” she added.

Angelica showed the procedure she went through before the surgery.

“Good morning it’s now day 2 na nasa hospital ako marami-rami na akong nagawang lab test and scans, nag 2D echo na ako, ECG, para sa heart para lang ma-clear ako, na blood test na rin ako but may mga uulitin lang, so, naka-fasting ako.

“Nagkandaiyak-iyak na ako kagabi dahil first time naming mag-spent ng night ni Gregg na hindi kasama si Bean. Napaka-unusual lang na both are together but hindi namin kasama ‘yung daughter namin.

Angelica said that she’s more excited for the surgery than scared, hoping it would end her chronic pain for the past two years.

The surgery last for seven hours.

“Hi, nasa recovery room ako, nanghihina at sobrang sakit!

Siyempre masakit ‘yung pain from surgery, masakit ‘yung mga muscles ko pero it’s getting better every day.

Hopefully maka-recover kaagad pero three weeks akong ibe- bedrest, so, tingnan natin.”
