TOURISM and leisure developer Belle Corp., a subsidiary of Sy-led SM Investments Corp. (SMIC), told the Philippine Stock Exchange on Thursday that unit Premium Leisure Corp. had applied for a gaming license.
It was responding to the bourse’s query about a report that the firm was planning to put up a casino-resort north of Manila, about which it said that “information on potential investments … are still too preliminary, especially considering that the application for license has yet to be acted on …”
