Due to unexpected health issues, P-pop girl group BINI’s leader Jhoanna will be unable to participate in KCON LA 2024.
In an announcement shared on their social media accounts on Sunday, July 28, BINI reassured fans that Jhoanna is receiving close monitoring and recovering well.
“Due to unanticipated health issues, Jhoanna will not be able to participate in KCON LA 2024,” the post read.
While five members—Maloi, Colet, Gwen, Stacey, and Aiah—arrived in California on Friday morning for the event, Jhoanna, along with Mikha and Sheena, were still traveling at the time of the announcement.
Despite Jhoanna’s absence, BINI is still slated to perform at the “M Countdown” pre-show on Saturday (US time) and participate in a special “Meet the Rising Stars: BINI” panel at the convention.
“Let’s keep supporting the other members and join us in this celebration of culture, music, and excellent performances,” the announcement added.
The event is set to mark a significant milestone for both BINI and the P-pop scene, as KCON is considered one of the biggest K-pop festivals in the world.
KCON LA 2024 will run until July 28 at the Crypto.com Arena and LA Convention Center.
