As the aftermath of Typhoon Carina is still felt by many communities whose homes and businesses were affected by the floods, many individuals as well as organizations have been working hand-in-hand to provide aid to those who are in need.
Black Rider stars Ruru Madrid and Jon Lucas have joined the GMA Kapuso Foundation as well as Unang Hirit host Suzi Abrera-Etrata in providing relief goods and breakfast meals to affected residents in Barangay Banaba in San Mateo, Rizal as part of its “Operation Bayanihan.”
Clad in plastic boots, the actors walked through the muddy streets to hand over packed relief goods to those who were affected by the flood. Several appliances were also given to those who lost theirs amid the disaster.
Other celebrities have also been providing relief packs to the foundation such as Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, who personally handed over 700 packed goods to the organization’s warehouse. Faith Da Silva, Ashley Ortega, Elijah Alejo, and other celebrities have also helped in packing relief goods for the flood victims.
