Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) officials on Monday met with Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) executives to discuss collaborative efforts and exchange insights for achieving quality service and sustainable air transport.

The meeting, which was held at the airline’s Operations Center in Pasay City, focused on the local airline’s sustainability efforts, including fleet modernization, flight route optimization, and fuel efficiency best practices.

CAAP officials engaged in a knowledge exchange and insightful conversation about the local airline’s sustainability efforts, underscoring the key role of CEB’s fleet modernization, flight route optimization, and adoption of best practices in fuel efficiency.

CEB executives, on the other hand, discussed the airline’s decarbonization program during the dialogue, highlighting its transition to electric vehicles and electrical Ground Support Equipment (eGSE) and integration of sustainable aviation fuel.

CAAP is working with stakeholders like Cebu Pacific to promote collaboration and dialogue for a sustainable and efficient future in the Philippine air transport sector.

Present in the event were CEB President and Chief Commercial Affairs Officer Alexander G. Lao, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Michael Ivan S. Shau, and Vice President for Corporate Affairs Atty. Paterno S. Mantaring Jr., among others.

They were joined by CAAP Deputy Director General for Administration Atty. Danjun G. Lucas, Assistant Director General II for Flight Standards and Inspectorate Service (FSIS) Captain Florendo Jose C. Aquino III, Assistant Director General II for Aerodrome Development and Management Service (ADMS) Col. Valentino A. Dionela, AFP (Ret), as well as representatives from other concerned CAAP departments.
