Carla Abellana recently shared her excitement about starring alongside Bea Alonzo in GMA’s new primetime series, Widows’ War.

“I still feel amazed whenever we act together,” Carla revealed.

Carla, known for her charming smile, couldn’t believe she’d get to work with Bea. “I never thought I’d be in such a big project with her. It was just a dream before. When I found out we’d be in a show together, I was so happy but a bit nervous.”

Widows’ War is set to be a hit on GMA, featuring Carla Abellana and Bea Alonzo in roles that fans are sure to love.

Sharing the screen with Bea has been an incredible experience for her. “My goodness! She is everything I imagined her to be, plus more!” she exclaimed.

When asked about Bea’s admirable characteristics, she praised her passion, dedication to her craft, attention to even the smallest details, kindness, patience, and professionalism as an actress.

Regarding her character in Widow’s War, she admitted she couldn’t relate to it as much as her previous roles.

“Honestly, not that much. It’s very different from the previous roles I played,” she reflected. “She’s very brave and determined. Before this, I did Stolen Life where I breathed life into a strong-willed character. I guess it helped in my interpretation of the role of Georgina. It became a stepping stone for me.”

“Georgina is ambitious and will do anything to get what she wants. Even if she’ll trek the wrong path. So, I find it difficult to relate to her in real life. She’s a different character which challenges me to the hilt,” ends Carla.

Melai Cantiveros expressed her openness to starring in a remake of “Ang Tanging Ina” if the opportunity arises.

“It will be a huge honor. But first, I should have the blessing of Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas who did the original. The Comedy Queen should know first,” she said in the vernacular.

The “Magandang Buhay” host underscored her respect for Ai Ai. “I don’t want to bypass Ai Ai,” she added. “As I’ve said, she’s our Comedy Queen. She has proven herself a lot of times already. Then, there’s also Ms. Eugene Domingo and Ms. Pokie (Pokwang). But if the role will be offered to me, I would love to do it with Ms. Ai Ai’s blessing.”

Regarding being hailed as the “New Generation Comedy Queen,” some have dubbed her, Melai shared her thoughts on the recognition.

“Of course, I’m happy with the moniker. But personally, I still have a lot to prove to deserve it. But anyway, thanks to those who think that said title fits me,” she humbly stated.
