A dredging vessel has run aground on the Bocao River in Botolan, Zambales.
According to a ”24 Oras Weekend” report on Saturday, the vessel had four crew members on board when the incident happened on Thursday.
The Philippine Coast Guard in Zambales reported that it was the fourth non-propelled vessel to run aground in the province due to the severe weather brought by tropical cyclone Carina since Wednesday.
The PCG added that their warnings for vessels to head towards safer areas before the cyclone hit were not followed.
Meanwhile, all 20 seafarers aboard the four reported vessels have been rescued. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
