Watsons Philippines, with its new “Hair Finds for All Kinds” campaign, is currently holding its grand hair brands sale.
Starting July 18, customers can enjoy a 50-percent discount on all hair color products through the official Watsons app, continuing to July 19 to 21 with half-priced and Buy One Take One deals on brands like Hair Fix, L’Oreal Paris, Kiss, and more available on over a thousand branches nationwide.
The beauty and wellness retailer’s ‘One Day, One Price’ is also a new promotion strategy for their online app, with one category having a same discounted price for a day such as the previous 299-peso deal for all sunscreens.
Pat Muyco, Senior Category Officer of Watsons, emphasized Watsons’ wide variety of hair products ranging from hydrating shampoos, vibrant hair colors, up to modern hair styling tools.
“When we say hair finds for all kinds, we really mean it. Watsons has so much to offer when it comes to our hair care journey,” Muyco said during the campaign launch.
Catering to diverse set of clients with varying preferences and experiences, Watsons have continuously collaborated with different brands for innovation, giving the best possible service and products to their customers as stated by Jared de Guzman, Watson’s Customer Director.
“What’s fantastic about the [hair category] is that even the existing core brands, our bestseller, they’re also innovating their formulation. Even the multinational brands are upgrading themselves so we’re so happy that there are so much energy and newness with the category,” he said.
The executive added that these brands have been using specialized ingredients to address different hair types and hair concerns that Filipinos experience like dry scalp, damaged hair and even diseases like psoriasis
When asked the reason behind the big sale, de Guzman said that it is not due to surplus of stocks.
“The reason is, there’s a lot of brands and honestly not all these brands have the same power to be able to communicate to all our customers. So, Watsons enables all of these small, growing but really popular brand globally to grow. Watsons is really the platform for all these upcoming brands to really shine,” he stated.
Expanding to a wider color palette, customers can also expect more hair colors only exclusive in Watsons available in different formats like crème, bubble, pudding and even shampoo type.
Watsons ensures clients that they would get salon quality hair without breaking the bank, despite the hair coloring process being DIY or “do-it-yourself.”
“If you want to elevate your hairstyle, go to a Watsons store,” de Guzman emphasized, highlighting Watsons’ dedication to provide the best beauty and health products to the public.
In addition, according to Denise Estrella, Watsons’ Marketing Manager, more international brands will be introduced in stores since more Filipinos are getting more advanced with their hair regimens. This includes popular K-Beauty hair brands like Mise-En-Scene (pronounced as Mee-Zahn-Sen), Innis-Free, and Jul7me.
“[It’s really one of our goals] to really ‘premiumize’ the hair category by bringing in different products from Korea, even from Japan and Thailand,” Aika Tacub, Category Manager for Hair, added.
To formally open the sale, Watsons held an interactive at its Mall of Asia branch.
Hosted by courtside reporter Sam Corrales, the event had different entertaining segments including the do-it-yourself hair coloring challenge ‘Dare to be Hue’ wherein random shoppers were selected to try a new hair color and create bold new looks. The challenge aims to show the beauty of expression and individuality.
A hair activity wall was also present in the event where shoppers can find out how they can achieve hair transformations with the help of six cards with respective hair types or goals and the Watsons brand best for them.
Five hair care brands were also featured in the event, starting with L’Oreal Paris Excellence which shared the importance of ‘threes’ in their product; Hair Fix, with their presentation of best hair care practices; Hair Treats, which suggested their products to revitalize damaged hair; Naturals by Watsons, which introduced their sustainable and all natural products; and lastly Kiss Philippines, with their tips to take care of our hair.
More promotions are in store for Watsons’ loyal shoppers, including the upcoming Watsons Playlist P-pop Concert featuring SB19, Kaia, HORI7ON, Alamat and G22 on August 18 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
