Some portions of Metro Manila remained submerged on Thursday after rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat and Tropical Cyclone Carina caused massive flooding in the region.

According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and local government units, floods are still reported in the following areas:

Manila 

  • Rizal Avenue-Recto Avenue – gutter-deep flood as of 6:20 a.m. Passable to all types of vehicles.

Quezon City (as of 12:46 a.m.)

  • NS Amoranto Brgy Sto. Domingo – above waist-deep
  • Araneta Avenue-E. Rodriguez – above waist-deep
  • Araneta Avenue towards Del Monte – above knee to waist-deep:
  • Gumamela Street, Roxas – above knee to waist-deep:
  • Kaliraya-Araneta – above knee to waist-deep:
  • DMA Araneta – above knee to waist-deep:
  • Champaca corner Vargas Street, Brgy. Roxas – above knee to waist-deep

Mandaluyong (as of 8:00 a.m.)

  • Boni Avenue Cor. Sto. Rosario – ankle-deep
  • San Joaquin Street – knee-deep

Valenzuela (as of 8:00 a.m.)

  • MacArthur Highway
  • BDO Dalandanan-BRT Dalandanan – 18 to 19 inches-deep. Not passable to all types of vehicles
  • Wilcon – Cuevas Dalandanan – 25 to 26 inches-deep. Not passable to all types of vehicles

Other areas

  • Bypass Road, Veinte Reales – 40 to 45 inches-deep. Not passable to all types of vehicles
  • Bahay Kanlungan, Maysan – 14 to 15 inches-deep. Not passable to all types of vehicles
  • P. Deato St. Balangkas – 40 to 45 inches-deep. Not passable to all types of vehicles
  • In front of Mayer Steel. cor T. Santiago – three to four inches-deep. Passable to all types of vehicles
