Fridays Puerto Galera, a luxury resort nestled in the UNESCO-protected Muelle Bay on Boquete Island, Mindoro, is set to unveil a multi-million-dollar expansion by 2025. The upgrade aims to blend modern amenities with the resort’s stunning natural surroundings.
Led by DXL Architectural Design Services, the project will introduce several new facilities, including the Fridays Puerto Galera Conference Hall, Fridays Beach Club, Pool Bar, Wellness Cabanas, a Game Room, and a Jungle Gym for children. Additionally, the resort will construct an exclusive Pier Dock for guests arriving from Berberabe or the Batangas City Main Port.
“This expansion combines modern conveniences with sustainable principles, reflecting a contemporary Filipino aesthetic,” said Romeo Co, General Manager of Fridays Puerto Galera.
“Our goal is to become the preferred MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) resort in Puerto Galera, Mindoro Province.”
Fridays Puerto Galera, known for its “quiet luxury,” offers guests a chance to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying comfort and privacy. The new Conference Hall will host corporate meetings and special occasions, accommodating up to 150 guests with flexible space solutions. Surrounded by hills and panoramic views of Puerto Galera, it promises a serene and secure environment.
The Fridays Beach Club, formerly known as Fridays Crusoe Restaurant, will provide a new Filipino-themed dining experience. The Game Room will cater to guests seeking a mix of work and play, promoting team building and camaraderie.
“We aim to offer a holistic experience through wellness offerings like yoga and meditation sessions, along with improved spa facilities for total relaxation and well-being,” Co added.
Opened in 2018, Fridays Puerto Galera currently features 24 rooms and suites. The resort is located in the lagoons of Muelle Bay, renowned for its white and pink sand and vibrant blue waters.
