(UPDATE) OIL firms raised pump prices for the fourth straight week, with gasoline having the biggest increase — P1.60 per liter.

Beginning Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the cost of diesel rose by 65 centavos and kerosene by 60 centavos.

The Department of Energy's Oil Industry Management Bureau said tensions in the Middle East, as well as continued strong oil demand for the summer season, continue to push prices up.

On a year-to-date basis, the per-liter price of gasoline has gone up by P10.85, diesel by P9.05, and kerosene by P2.35.
