Go, with his Malasakit Team, has been actively and continuously supporting programs that ensure sustained assistance for those recovering from tragedies.

At the heart of Go’s legislative efforts is the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Modernization Act of 2021, or Republic Act (RA) 11589, which he authored and co-sponsored.

This law aims to fortify the BFP with a 10-year modernization plan, enhancing its capabilities through recruiting more firefighters, acquiring advanced fire-fighting equipment, and specialized training programs.

In regard to the housing problem in the country, Go has filed Senate Bill 192, which proposes a Rental Housing Subsidy Program to support disaster victims by facilitating their access to affordable rentals through government-subsidized rental assistance.

Under the proposed measure, a housing and social protection program will be developed to provide disaster victims better and more affordable access to the formal housing market through the provision of rental subsidies provided by the government if enacted into law.
