Integrity, he said, is the most valuable asset of a CPA. “Beyond the success and accolades integrity is the most valuable asset of an [accountant],” Go said.
He cited Picpa’s role as a leading advocate for maintaining high standards in financial regulation and compliance.
He vowed continued support for the group’s goals and initiatives aimed at elevating the profession.
“I will continue to strive to support your goals and programs to the best of my ability. I also want to express my full support for your initiatives to maintain the high standards of the accountancy profession in our country,” Go said.
He filed Senate Bill (SB) 2538 or the proposed Magna Carta of Government Accountants, and SB 2536, which aims to establish the Government Accountancy Office under the Department of Budget and Management.
These proposed laws are designed to enhance the efficiency and further promote professionalism in government financial management.
