THE government will ramp up spending in the second half of the year and keep economic growth on track to hitting the 2024 target, a Cabinet official said.
“We expect government spending to further improve in the third quarter and fully accelerate in the fourth quarter, ultimately helping us reach our target GDP (gross domestic product) growth of 6.0 to 7.0 for 2024,” Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman told The Manila Times.
