Heart Evangelista donates proceeds from sold hand-painted bag to SSFI

Fashion icon and Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI) president Heart Evangelista recently sold one of her hand-painted luxury bags for P1.5 million and donated all of the proceeds to the organization.

Known for being an artist who frequently uses luxury bags as her canvas, Evangelista’s sold bag is an Hermès Kelly Sellier with a beautifully painted image of a woman. Special Envoy to the UAE for Trade and Investments and SSFI Vice President and chairperson of the Committee on Social Events Kathryn Yu-Pimentel and SSFI Public Relations Officer Nancy Dela Rosa received the donation, which will be used to fund the organization’s projects.

Pimentel and Dela Rosa expressed their gratitude for Evangelista’s donation during the turnover ceremony.

“This will really go a long way and help our underprivileged Filipino people. This is a good gesture and token na within our Senate Spouse[s] organization may nagdodonate mismo,” said Pimentel.

The SSFI is a charity organization focused on socio-civic activities for the less fortunate, composed of the wives of Philippine senators. Prior to Evangelista’s role as its current president, Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri’s wife Audrey Tan Zubiri led the organization. Other officers of the organization include Issa Baraquell, Lani Cayetano, Marielle Padilla, Emmeline Villar, Lani Mercado Revilla, Teodoro Misael Llamanzares, and Maricel Tulfo.
