Individuals with vision problems were among the beneficiaries of free eye examination and eyeglasses from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to “24 Oras,” Wednesday, Rolly Masula of Quezon City was among those who received aid through the foundation’s Kapuso 20/20 Eye Project in the past year.
Rolly, a double amputee, repairs broken watches for a living. His job is made more difficult because of his blurry vision, especially because the eyeglasses he’d buy for P50 apiece would no longer cut it. Now, he is able to work more comfortably thanks to his new pair.
Clarence, a Grade 11 student, also received a free eye checkup and eyeglasses through the project. Per the report, the spectacles have helped the student a lot in his studies and even saw him receive an academic excellence award.
“Sobrang nakatulong po dahil napalinaw po ng salamin ang paningin ko po. Naiintindihan ko po sobra ‘yung mga lessons,” said Clarence.
