Joanie Delgaco saw a tough ending to her fairytale run as she finished last in the quarterfinals of the women’s single sculls at the 2024 Paris Olympics to formally end her campaign on Tuesday at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.
The 26-year-old history-making Filipina rower clocked seven minutes and 58.30 seconds to wind up sixth in the six-woman heat. Only the top three athletes in each heat will advance to the semifinals.
