After weeks of speculation, global K-pop star Lisa of Blackpink has been named the newest house ambassador for luxury fashion giant Louis Vuitton.
The announcement came after months of speculation fueled by Lisa’s attendance at the brand’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Paris and hints about the collaboration in her recent single, “Rockstar”.
In a press release, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière welcomed Lisa as the brand’s newest face.
“She has a daring spirit and charisma that I find incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey,” said Nicolas.
In an interview, Lisa expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with the luxury brand.
“I feel so honored to be working with such a great brand that I admire. I’m really looking forward to creating memorable moments with Louis Vuitton. Throughout the many years, Louis Vuitton has always maintained their originality, and their iconic monogram is such a historic piece that remains popular to this day. I aim to be someone who can maintain that originality,” she stated.
With this new ambassadorship, Lisa joins a prestigious roster of Louis Vuitton representatives, including actresses Zendaya and Emma Stone, and fellow K-pop stars like Stray Kids’ Felix and BTS’ j-hope.
