Lexter Castro, known as “Boy Dila,” for sticking his tongue out while using a water gun against a motorcycle rider said in Filipino at a press conference that he “deeply” regretted his actions during the festival. “What was intended as a playful moment turned into something harmful and disrespectful. I understand the gravity of my mistake and the impact it had on the community and the motorcyclist involved. I am truly sorry,” he said. Castro addressed people who were offended by his actions, acknowledging their concerns and expressing his commitment to change. “I understand the anger and frustration my actions caused,” said the 21-year-old resident, assuring everyone in Filipino that “I have learned from this experience. I am committed to becoming a better person.” The incident, caught on video, garnered millions of views.
