Supporters of the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. started gathering on Monday morning around the Sandiganbayan on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City near the Batasan Pambansa complex, where the Chief Executive will deliver his third State of the Nation Address.
Tarpaulins with an image of Marcos bearing the words “All the way for BBM” and “Tunog ng Bagong Pilipinas (Sound of the New Philippines)” filled the area, where a stage has been set up.
Most of the attendees came to the venue wearing color-coordinated red, white, and black shirts.
Some of them waved flags and wore lanyards with cards bearing the words for a prayer and an image of Marcos’ mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Others were chanting, “Debosyong Pilipino para sa Bagong Pilipinas (Filipino Devotion for the New Philippines)! Free us! Free Us!” while throwing their fists in the air.
The program of pro-Marcos group One Movement is set to start at 1 p.m. with performances from Ara Mina, Rodjun Cruz, Jireh Lim, John Nite, among other artists. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
