Marikina opens annual shoe bazaar

MARIKINA opened on Monday the city’s annual Balik Eskwela (back-to-school) Shoe Bazaar.

Known as the shoe capital of the Philippines, Marikina opened the bazaar featuring 43 leather products stalls.

In a statement, the city said that they aim to provide high-quality, affordable shoes at factory price to students and families as they prepare for the new school year.

Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro said that the bazaar would benefit not only the people of Marikina but also those from surrounding areas.

The shoe bazaar, located at the Marikina Freedom Park in front of City Hall, will last until August 18.
