MANILA, Philippines — A meeting loses its value and wastes time if it is not documented in the correct manner. With the passage of the 2019 Revised Corporation Code, there are strict guidelines on how minutes of meetings should be recorded and aligned with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.

To help organizations in their compliance, the Center for Global Best Practices will hold an SEC-accredited webinar titled, “Masterclass in Writing Minutes of Meetings” on Aug 15 and 16 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

With greater accountability expected of board directors and management in decisions made during meetings, every organization needs trained experts with the right skills to take minutes effectively. The two-session webinar is designed to make  meetings efficient and its outcomes effective through a step-by-step guide from preparing the documentation and physical requirements of a meeting, to agenda-setting, using standard terminology in taking down notes and many more!

The learning methodology for the training includes an interactive approach to instructions, discussions and exercises.  It is the only program that will teach participants the best practices in taking minutes and provide them vital information on the legal guidelines and regulations on meetings mandated by the SEC.

Learn from CGBP course director and expert practitioner, lawyer Danny Espejo Bunyi. He is a Certified Compliance Officer, certified by the American Academy of Financial Management  and  is a senior partner and group head of corporate and special projects at Divina Law.

Registration is open to the general public and is highly recommended for board directors, corporate secretaries and their assistants, board secretaries, minute-takers and everyone interested in this topic.
