MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated 1.4 kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with an estimated street value of P9.52 million in two stings in Cebu City on Friday.
Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, Central Visayas police director, said operatives seized 1.05 kilos of shabu worth P7.14 million from a 48-year-old woman during the first sting in Barangay San Roque.
The second operation, conducted by the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), led to the seizure of 350 grams of shabu worth P2.38 million in Barangay Tejero.
Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta, PDEG director, said the illegal drugs were found in the possession of Ray-An Quijano, 37, a high-value suspect.
The two suspects were charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
