Kayla Sanchez, the Philippines’ lone multi-Olympic medalist this year among its 22 bets in the 2024 Paris games, will advance to the semifinals of the women’s 100m freestyle after finishing 10th overall in the heats on Tuesday (Manila time).
The semifinals will take place on Wednesday at around 3:25 a.m. (Manila time).
In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Sanchez scored two podium finishes representing Canada at the time with a silver medal in the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay and a bronze in the 4x100m medley relay.
