The operation of the Pasig River Ferry Service was suspended on Wednesday due to typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Wednesday.
“Mataas din ang water level na dahilan para umangat ang pontoon sa mga istasyon,” the MMDA said in an advisory posted on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the latest PAGASA bulletin, Signal No 2. remained raised over Batanes while Signal No. 1 was raised over the Babuyan Islands, the northern portion of mainland Cagayan, and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte.
Malacañang has suspended government work and classes in the National Capital Region (NCR) for the day.
