FILIPINO athletes have started arriving at the Paris Olympic Village as the 2024 Olympics nears.
The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) shared a photo of the Philippine gymnastics team of Carlos Yulo, Aleah Finnegan, Levi Ruivivar and Emma Malubuyo arriving at the Village.
“Excitement is in the air as our Filipino athletes and delegation arrive at the Athlete’s Village, ready to make their mark at the Paris 2024 Olympics! Let’s go, Team Philippines,” the POC said.

Ruivivar shared on Instagram the activities that the organizers prepared for the athletes.
“There’s voting that you can do to elect a president for the athletes; you pick four different people from four different sports,” said Ruivivar in the video, where she also shared the goodies they received from the Olympics sponsors.
Rower Joanie Delgaco likewise shared the tokens on Instagram.
“There’s a pin quest where you can collect pins. They have all these activities set up in this place called Athlete 365, which has games, events and a way for you to connect with other athletes in the Paris Olympic Village.”
Delgaco, the Philippines’ first-ever female rower to make the Games, will be the first to see action among the 22 athletes from the Philippines.
The 26-year-old will race in the women’s single sculls heats on July 27 at 3 p.m. (Manila time) at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.
Later in the day, gymnast Yulo and boxer Eumir Marcial will have their contests running simultaneously starting at 9:30 p.m.
The 24-year-old Yulo will compete in the men’s artistic gymnastics individual all-around qualification at the Bercy Arena, while Marcial will box at the round of 32 in the men’s light-heavyweight division (80 kg) at the North Paris Arena.
