The Cignal HD Spikers opened its campaign in the PVL Reinforced Conference on a high note as they swept the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, who were playing without Sisi Rondina, 25-18, 25-21, 25-16, on Thursday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.
Rondina is currently with the national team Alas Pilipinas.
Import MJ Perez towed the HD Spikers with 22 points off 19 points, two aces, and a block, while Judith Abil proved herself worthy of a spot with 15 excellent digs and eight excellent receptions.
Flying Titans reinforcement Zoi Faki, meanwhile, had 13 points.
Prior to this, the Akari Chargers defeated Capital1, 25-18, 27-25, 22-25, 25-14.
Ivy Lacsina had 20 points while import Oly Okaro had 16 points for the Chargers.
Marina Tushova had 20 points for Capital1.
Earlier, Petro Gazz swept ZUS Coffee, 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.
