Felip — also known as SB19’s main dancer and lead rapper Ken — is pushing his musicality as a solo artist with his newest album, “7sins.”

“7sins,” while not religion-centric, is a journey of acknowledging human shortcomings. The album will take listeners on a journey that begins with honesty and acceptance of unsaid feelings and emotions to embracing one’s true self.

Released on July 5, Felip’s album comprises nine songs, with “Envy” as its title track. The rest of the tracks represent other sins, such as wrath, greed and pride, with the final song, “Ache,” talking about redemption and acknowledgment.

“7sins” is a genre-bending album with songs that show the artist’s different sides and stories.

Despite being busy with SB19 engagements, shoots and projects, Felip persevered and took a hands-on approach to writing, creating and producing his album. It took seven months to complete the EP with Felip holding late-night sessions with Luke April of PlayerTwo and Isagani Palabyab.

Another exciting collaboration Felip includes in the album is one with Warner Music Philippines’ PlayerTwo for “Gluttony.” They previously worked on the songs “FLYYY” and “Pagdali” together.

The album drop likewise started the countdown to Felip’s solo concert on July 27, titled “7sins the Album Concert.” It will be held at the Space at OneAyala, and thousands of fans are expected to attend.

With Felip taking creative control of the “7sins” narrative, fans will better see and feel the artist’s singular influence, style, and artistry, whether streaming his songs or when he performs live on stage.

Meanwhile, the singer is grateful that the top-tier tickets to his concert were sold out within two minutes of opening to the public on June 24. Only a few general admission tickets are left via felip.helixpay.ph.
