SC suspends work in courts affected by heavy rains

MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court, in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), announced on Wednesday that courts in several areas were suspended, due to the effects of a southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon “Carina.”

It started when the High Court suspended work in the National Capital Judicial Region because of the heavy rains.

The next post showed Batanes suspending work on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by similar announcements by multiple courts in Antipolo, Cainta, and Taytay.

Bataan, the Municipal Trial Court in the City (MTCC) of San Pablo, Laguna and the MTCC in San Fernando, La Union followed suit.

Another Laguna town, Siniloan, also suspended work.

Earlier on Wednesday, Malacanang called off classes and government work because of bad weather.
