MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Luzon and Visayas will have isolated downpours and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
Weather specialist Robert Badrina said the easterly winds that bring warm, humid weather are particularly affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Luzon including Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela and Cagayan.
“Partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated downpours and thunderstorms would be experienced in those areas due to the same weather system,” he said.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have similar weather conditions but this is because of the localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
