Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz feel a deep connection when performing for Filipinos overseas, viewing it as a way to bring a piece of home to those far from the Philippines.
The couple also sees it as their responsibility to help Filipinos abroad feel connected to their roots.
“The best part is sharing what I love most with them. I’ve been passionate about singing and performing since I was a child. The energy is truly special when performing for Filipinos abroad,” Julie Anne said during a recent press conference for Sparkle World Tour.
“For me, it’s incomparable. Their anticipation before we even start performing, their happiness with every move we make—it’s an incredible feeling as performers,” Rayver reflected on the experience. “The momentum builds, and suddenly, you’re one with the crowd.”
Julie Anne echoed Rayver’s experience noting, “They bring a unique warmth to our performances. I agree with Rayver; Global Pinoys give us a different kind of energy that inspires us even more.”
