MANILA, Philippines — Speaker Martin Romualdez yesterday thanked Filipinos for his increasing trust and performance ratings in the latest Pulse Asia survey in June.
“These results are a clear affirmation of the diligent work and dedication demonstrated by my colleagues here at the House of Representatives,” Romualdez said.
“Leading this esteemed institution has been an honor and your continued trust and approval inspires us to strive for excellence in all our endeavors. The welfare of the Filipino people remains our top priority,” he added.
The latest Pulse Asia survey showed a four percent increase in Romualdez’s trust and performance ratings, from 31 percent in March to 35 percent in June.
Romualdez posted the highest gain in trust and performance ratings among top public officials.
He said the government remains committed to implementing policies that will positively impact the lives of Filipinos, such as lowering the price of rice.
“It is imperative that we support our most vulnerable citizens and provide them with the necessary resources to improve their quality of life,” Romualdez said.
Romualdez vowed to continue funding programs and projects that spur economic growth to create more jobs and stimulate local economies.
