Veteran sports journalist Chino Trinidad died at the age of 56 on Saturday, July 13.
His daughter, Floresse Trinidad, confirmed the news through a text message, stating, “Yes, we are very sad to share the news of his passing last night, July 13, 2024.”
According to a report by SPIN, Trinidad died due to cardiac arrest.
Trinidad served as GMA’s sports analyst for 23 years and as a commissioner for the now-defunct Philippine Basketball League (PBL). At the time of his passing, he was serving as the commissioner of the Pilipinas Super League.
