MANILA, Philippines — Members affected by the monsoon rains enhanced by Typhoon “Carina” in the National Capital Region (NCR) and surrounding areas may apply for a calamity loan from the Social Security System (SSS), the agency announced on Wednesday night.
According to SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Rolando Macasaet, members in areas hit by the storm can borrow a loan that is equivalent to a month’s salary credit or up to P20,000 maximum.
