MANILA, Philippines — Police are looking for two people who allegedly stabbed a man following an argument over food in Quezon City yesterday.
The suspects, who remain unidentified, stabbed 19-year-old Reson Ultra in Barangay Gulod at around 11:13 a.m., police said.
Ultra and his grandfather, who were both drunk, went to a stall at the corner of Quirino Highway and Forest Hill Drive and ordered food.
After several minutes, the suspects also arrived and bought food. Witnesses said Ultra and the suspects had an argument that led to a fistfight.
During the brawl, the suspects pulled out bladed weapons, repeatedly stabbed the victim and fled on foot from the scene.
Bystanders rushed Ultra to the Novaliches District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at around 1:43 a.m.
