In a video statement released Monday, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, Jr. vowed to go after groups or personalities behind a sinister plot to destabilize the administration of President Marcos.
Teodoro issued the statement in response to deepfake videos that were circulated on social media, showing a manipulated image of the President engaged in an inappropriate activity right on the day when he’s about to deliver his State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The DND chief said the video stemmed from a Maisug political rally held in Los Angeles, California.
