THE Commission on Elections’ ongoing voter registration has hit more than 4 million applicants or more than 100 percent of its original target of 2 million.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said Wednesday that the latest tally nationwide shows the total number of applications processed has reached 4,358,430.

Garcia said the total includes the reactivation of 260,000 voters out of the nearly 5 million who were delisted for failure to vote in the last two elections, those with court orders for exclusion, and those who failed to validate their records.
