1,655 pass electrical engineers licensure exam, 335 pass master electricians exam

A graduate of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University topped the registered electrical engineers licensure examination while an alumnus of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology in Cabanatuan achieved the highest score in the registered master electricians licensure exam, both held earlier this month.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 1,655 out of 3,058 passed the electrical engineers exam and 335 out of 834 passed the test for master electricians, both given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in test centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

Christopher Regino Brodith Maranga of CIT University topped the electrical engineers exam with a score of 93.20%, while the top performing school with at least 20 test takers is University of the Philippines – Los Baños, with all 22 of its examinees passing.

Jaypee Gernalin Francisco of NEUST Cabanatuan was the top scorer in the master electricians exam with 91%, while the top performing school was the Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila, with 20 of its 22 examinees passing.

In a separate statement, the PRC said that 58 test takers passed the technical evaluation for upgrading to professional electrical engineers, given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in test centers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Doha, Qatar; and Metro Manila earlier this month.
