Four fire officers involved in refilling a private swimming pool in Taytay, Rizal have been relieved, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said Monday.

BFP spokesman Superintendent Annalee Atienza said the four were transferred to other fire stations in Rizal while they are being investigated.

She declined to name the four officers.

“The fire chief and three other BFP personnel (in Tanay) were relieved. That’s the initial action taken while the investigation is ongoing,” Atienza said.

“Yes it did happen, we saw it in the (Facebook) post. What we are trying to find out is who gave the authority and who made the request. We are also waiting for the explanation of the personnel (involved),” she added.
