56 areas in Central Luzon still flooded due to bad weather – NDRRMC

Areas in Central Luzon were still flooded weeks after the onslaught of Typhoon Butchoy, Carina and Habagat, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Thursday.

In the latest situation report of the agency, Central Luzon reported the highest number of flooded areas, including Northern Mindanao, Cordillera Administrative Region and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Those were equivalent to 63 areas that were still flooded due to bad weather.

Affected population rose to 1,715, 194 families equivalent to 6,426,994 persons, with Central Luzon reported as the most affected region in terms of population with 1,000,332 families or 3,422,916 persons.

10 areas in the country reported landslide incidents including Region 1, Region 2,  Calabarzon, Region 7-9, 11-12, Caraga and BARMM.
