The 66th Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido on Friday received the Asia’s Modern Hero award for his exemplary service, leadership, and unwavering dedication to military service.
Philippine Army Spokesperson Colonel Louie Dema-ala said the Modern Heroes Awards honor and celebrate present-day visionaries and trailblazers who embody the spirit of the “Modern Hero.”
The award honors outstanding contributions in public service, educational institutions, disaster relief, human development, civil society, health and environment, business and entrepreneurship, and the justice and legal system.
