Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Friday said he will not submit himself to the International Criminal Court (ICC) or even the International Police (Interpol) in connection with the investigation of the Duterte administration’s drug war, during which he served as police chief.

“The ICC is not part of our government. The Interpol is not over and above the chain of our Philippine National Police (PNP),” Dela Rosa said.

However, if the ICC wants to interview him, the senator said they should write him a formal communication.

“If it’s just an interview, why not? I will not be rude, but it doesn’t mean that I am submitting, recognizing their jurisdiction over my person,” Dela Rosa said.

In the event that the Interpol will seek the help of the PNP in serving his warrant of arrest, the former police chief said he will not go to war with our police.

According to Dela Rosa, he will submit himself to authorities if only there is an order from our court. He will also accede if the order will come from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
