Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina moved up the leaderboard of the 2024 Paris Olympics women’s golf individual stroke after Day 2 of the event on Thursday.
Pagdanganan improved her chances for a medal as she carded a 3-under par 69 in the second round.
She had five birdies, which helped her bounce back after two bogeys in the earlier holes to finish with 69 and a total of 141 for the two rounds.
She moved up to joint 6th, seven spots up from Wednesday, along with Thailand’s Atthaya Thitikul, Japan’s Miyu Yamashita, South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai, and France’s Celine Boutier who led in Round 1.
Ardina, meanwhile, moved up four spots at T36 as she had a double bogey in the second hole before recovering and registering a birdie at Hole 11 to finish with 72 and a total of 148, 4-over par, after the two rounds.
Former Philippine golfer and US Open champion Yuka Saso, on the other hand, is at joint 47th , one spot down, as she currently is at 7-over par at 151.
The third round of golf will be played on Friday.
