THE Department of Agriculture (DA) said it is coordinating with regional offices to prevent tomato wastage amid the offseason harvest.
“We are talking already with the regional field office of Cordillera and Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) to check on these surpluses of tomatoes,” Agriculture Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa said partly in Filipino in an interview following reports of tomato disposal in Nueva Vizcaya.
