MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Embassy in Lebanon, reiterated its advice to all Filipinos to be vigilant and prepared and consider leaving Lebanon due to the unstable security situation. The Embassy continues to extend its services and support, especially to those in remote areas.

Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega of Foreign Affairs said that despite an urgent advisory from the Philippine Embassy in Beirut, only about 1,000 out of 11,000 Filipinos were willing to leave immediately due to escalating tensions in the Middle Eastern country.
