K-pop boy group NCT has been rocked by a scandal as member Taeil was officially removed from the group following serious allegations of sexual misconduct.
With the ongoing investigation, fans have expressed their outrage and disappointment, posting videos of themselves destroying their collections of photocards and other merchandise related to him.
“It’s very disappointing. F*** you, Moon Tae-il,” one fan wrote. “It’s jail time. I’m diving through my collection just to shred this mf,” another posted.
“After five whole years of collecting this man, I have zero words. But on the brighter side, at least I won’t be spending money to collect [anything],” a fan said on X.
The accusations have also led to a complete fallout within the group, with all NCT members unfollowing Taeil on social media, and Taeyong even deleting all photos featuring him.
In response to the scandal, SM Entertainment released a statement confirming Taeil’s removal from the group due to the gravity of the allegations.
While the police have clarified that the investigation does not involve minors or individuals of the same gender, they have not disclosed further details at this time.
Taeil has reportedly expressed his willingness to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. As the situation unfolds, SM Entertainment has promised to provide updates on the matter.
