The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has announced that it will screen Fil-Am filmmaker Ida Anita Del Mundo’s film K’na the Dreamweaver at the upcoming ASEAN Film Festival 2024 in Hong Kong.

Winning the Special Jury Prize at the 10th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival in 2014, K’na the Dreamweaver follows the story of a young T’boli woman who becomes a dreamweaver but falls in love with her childhood friend, despite being betrothed to the heir of their family’s rival in an arranged marriage intended to end the war between their two clans.

The theme for this year’s ASEAN Film Festival is “Collaboration and Co-Creation,” which aims to foster ties between filmmakers and stakeholders from Hong Kong, China, and Southeast Asia to collaborate on the creation of more creative content.

The film festival is organized by the Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation in partnership with the FDCP through the Philippine Embassies Assistance Program (PEAP). It will be held on Sept. 14 at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center, Miller Theater.
